Hi

I`m new at Mac world, i got a Macbook 13" late 2011 and try to instal windows with Boot camp.

But when i try to make the partition it says "Cant find the Windows installation CD"

I already try everything and can't get it done. I cant make the partition to start the windows installation.

Any1 knows how to fix that ?

Thanks everyone!

"Boot Camp" is not Windows. It's an aid or assistant in helping you to setup a dual boot for OS X and Windows. It partitions the hard drive, and assists in installing Windows, however, you must supply the copy of Windows.

Since you own a new MBP 2011 model, only a full install version of Windows 7 can be used. And during the Boot Camp assistant process, you'll be advised to download a driver disk image from Apple.

Ok, let me explain better.

I start the boot camp assistant follow the steps. When it ready for partition (after i choose the size of the partition) i press "Install" and then it give me the message.

I can't even get to windows instalation.

I'm at work, i can't post a picture from the actual screen now.

I try to search for this problem but didn't find.

OS: Lion
Boot camp: 4.0.1
Windows: Professional 64x (Original from microsoft)

It sounds like your Mac is having trouble reading the Windows installation disc. If you just pop the disc into your DVD drive (without Boot Camp running), does it mount on the desktop? Can you open it to view the files?

How about telling us which version of Windows you're attempting to install? As I stated in a previous post, you can only install Windows 7 (either 32 or 64 bit) and it must be a full install version.

You stated "Windows Professional"? Do you mean Windows 7 Professional?

That was going to be my next suggestion. Glad you worked it out. Have fun and visit often. :)
