Installing a printer on a new iMac

I received a new iMac for Christmas .... lucky me!!!! ... but cannot install my Brother QL-500 label printer, which I depend on ... any suggestions???? Thanks!

Why don't you tell us what you've attempted to do in installing the Brother QL 500 label printer? Any errors? Have you installed the proper drivers - assuming there are drivers for OS X Lion?
