Restoring a deleted file

Hey y'all! I'm new & hopefully putting this in the right place. I accidentally deleted a customer file before I sent the order off to the printer (bad photog!) & was wondering if there was a way of recovering files from an emptied trashcan. I've watched enough Forensic Files to know the files are still there. It's a lot of editing to do over & well, I'm lazy. I've heard good things about 'Disc Drill' from Clever Files. Anyone have any suggestions?

As long as you didn't overwrite the file (if you stopped using the hard drive) you may be able to undelete it with Disk Drill. Or, you could purchase a professional software recovery program such as Data Rescue 3.

Are you using Time Machine to back up your hard drive?
