Hi all

I've lost my memory stick, and there I needed to reinstall SL with a more funky method involving creating a new partition, making that one a bootable SL DVD, and install from that. All went well. But now the very small SL partition (about 15GB or so) is too small. And I've tried to repartition it, but I get the error message that it "can't be repartitioned, try repartitioning with a smaller size".

My SL partition is the bottom one here:

Does anyone know what to do? It's SL 10.6 btw.

Can't resize SL partition

Hi all

I can't seem to resize my SL partition. I'm sorry the screenshot is in norwegian. The resize-box is just grayed out. Isn't there any way to fix this?

You're either going to have to start over (that means making a backup of everything first) or use specialized software. iPartition $46.95 US

I fixed by booting the SL DVD and choosing "repair disk" from the Disktool that comes with the DVD.

But thanks anyway! I think I'll get iPartition anyway, according to its website it's great software :)

Well thier website would say that of course, it would surprising if they said "our software sucks" :D
However, it is great. I have used it a fair bit and it's very useful.
