snow lepoard upgrade

hi im running 10.4.11 on my ibook g4 got 1.4 gb ram 40gb hd 1.4 processor
powerbook dunno what all this means as its my first ibook i want to upgrade to snow lepoard can i just upgrade or do i have to have lepoard installed before it will upgrade or will it just upgrade from 10.4 cant sync my iphone with it as wont upgrade itunes wrong os x

but how can i setup pc cant booting iso 10.5 ????????????

Go into eBay and such and purchase a full retail install DVD, black only.
