How do you open a " .pps " mail attachment??

I'm the only one of my friends & family who uses a Mac system. Once in a while I get an email with an attachment marked [name].pps(x.x MB).

I cannot open these attachments. MacMail cannot find any software to open them with, nor can I.

So HOW do you open these " .pps " attachments?

you need microsoft powerpoint to open it.

Buy MacOffice 2004 or the stand alone PowerPoin version. M$s Mac site (www.mactopia.com) might have a Powerpoint reader that is free, but I'm not sure.

It only runs in Classic, so you'd have to have that installed. And it's not all that new, so many of the new powerpoint features might be missing, but, it should be able to view a lot of those files. And...it's free

You could try Open Office it looks just like Microsoft Office and has all the same functionality. Plus it's freeeeeeee!!!!!

KeyNote part of iWork will open & play Powerpoint items if you have it handy.
