Audio converting software (thoughts?)

anyone have any suggestions for a good audio converting program?

ie: aiff - mp3 - etc.

im curious to know if there are any programs that are faster than others ... or if there are programs that have a quicker output than others?

i often have to output a few hundred files a day ... sometimes a couple thousand ... is there really a quick way around converting this many files?

looking for something quicker than itunes.

no idea if this even exists.

Try all2mp3...great little program, as long as you're going to mp3

Max is my favorite by far, and will convert virtually anything to MP3, or any other format for that matter, but for MP3 you really can't beat it.

MediaHuman Audio Converter appears to be multi-proc aware and free. I'm not sure if there's anything faster but there you go. As far as I can tell, it's the successor to AudialHub.
