Using Lion on OS10.7.2

In iTunes my iPad shows up on the left-hand side & syncs wirelessly.
My iPhone 3GS does not show up unless I plug it into the Mac via USB????

Can that be rectified??

Are you running iOS 5 on the phone and in iTunes under devices > iPhone > Options did you check sync with this phone over wi-fi?

Many thanks for your reply.
There is no iTunes/Devices/iPhone/Options path in my version of iTunes (10.5.2)

Under ‘Preferences’ in iTunes however there is a ‘Devices’ tab which contains device backups.
There were several of them there so I deleted all except two ..... one for the iPad and one for the iPhone (which from a previous error is named iPod)

Now when I open iTunes both are appearing .... Don’t know why but this now seems to work.

Thank you

bernphys
