Deleting Apps

I recently installed a freeware application on my computer. Then, I uninstalled it, but need to put it back on my computer.

When I go to reinstall it, it say that the app is there but I can't install it. The app is not there. I did a search for any files containing the app or using it, but nothing came up.

Is there anything I can do??

There may be a pkg file hanging around that tells the app it's already installed. Search the drive for the name of the app plus .pkg, all one word, eg: killerapp.pkg

If you find it, delete it and install the app again.

If that fails, search for the app name without the pkg. Other bits and pieces that should be trashed may be hiding in the shadows.
