Help how to recover permanently deleted folder

Hi All,

New Member here as it was getting late at night and somehow I deleted my personal folder with many important files in it. I am running 10.4 on a macbook... please tell me that there is a way to recover this folder ... thanks for any suggestions.

Stop using the machine. Any writes to the hard drive further endangers the data and may make it impossible to recover. Next, download the trial version of Data Rescue 3 and run it from an external hard drive or disk (you may have to buy it, I'm not sure the trial will run from disk) to see if it can recover your data. The software is $99 but it's the best at recovering deleted data. Here is the LINK.

Oh, and also smack yourself in the head for not running Time Machine or some kind of backup program.
