Hi.
I have a iPhone 3Gs, and I am not sure if this is too much of a bad thing, but sometime when I turn it on, it will turn on, and then turn off real fast. I do see the picture of the background and the lock screen, but for some reason it just turns off. I only press the button once, so I did not turn it off.

Other then that it works fine, just want mo make sure there is nothing real bad with my phone.

Once it turns off, does pressing the button wake it back up? How often does it do this? I know the silent/vibrate switch on the 3G and 3GS were prone to becoming loose and causing issues, but I wouldn't think the power button would be prone to the same thing..

It might do this once a day. The silent button is not loose at all, and I usually have it on silent because I am in school. But yeah, when I turn it on, it just turns itself off, and then I turn it on again, and it works fine. I am not sure if it is a big problem, or not, but I am just wondering why my iPhone does this. Thanks for responding.

I just have a 3g and I push the power button up top and after a while it goes to the lock screen. Never had it turn off. Will search google and see if there is anyone else with your issue.
