Yes it does, IIRC it came in with 10.4.

I make movies all the time with my iSight and iMovie.

yeah, i know it worked with the standalone iSight, but it doesn't seem to work with the built-in iSight in my new iMac. is there a way around it?

I can't find anything online but it does seem to be a strange move by Apple. They haven't by any chance added a movie capture option to iChat or Photobooth or something like that?

My guess would be that it is a bug in iMovie in that the internal iSight is probably not a "Firewire" device so it isn't recognised, have yuou looked in the hardware section of "About This Mac" to see where the iSight device shows up?
