MDD Processor upgrade?

I have an chance to buy an MDD dual 867MHz but I am wondering if i buy this PowerMac could I upgrade the cpu to a dual 1GHz? or is there some kind of difference between the two? I only ask thiis because there is a dual 1 GHz MDD cpu (with heatsink) on ebay for $20.00 US.

Well it is possible, the big problem is the 867 came with a 133MHz system bus speed and the 1GHz and later with 167MHz system bus speeds. For the adventurous here is a how to on changing the bus speed:-

To be honest the small speed increase will hardly be noticeable. Mactracker shows Geekbench test speeds for the 867MHz and 1GHz and they go 708 and 873 respectively. Suggest not outlaying too much on a ten year old computer.
