MacBook Air - lost unreadable photos while importing

Hi everyone,

I am new here. I need an advice. I lost my photo's importing my photo's from SD card and iPhone. There's a dialogue box saying "unreadable file... " like the prt screened file in this topic:

There's no option but to press ok, so I clicked ok which resulted to lost files from the source card. There's no imported photo's in my iphoto library as well.

Question: Is there any way to recover the these photos?
