Dear friends
I have macbook pro 15" 2.0 Ghz, Lion 10.7.2, early 2011 model, 512GB HDD, I want to change into SSD instead HDD, so what type of SSD better for macbook also with 512, or 480GB size. brand name: intel or toshiba or kingston
another thing I want to ask regarding the warranty, I will lose it if I change to SSD or not?
thanks

Way... way too many specs to list.
Hard drives and RAM are user replaceable. The process is documented in the user manual, page 37. So the only warranty that is effected is on the hard drive itself.

I just read a bunch of reports as I was thinking about doing the same thing and the general consensus seems to be the Samsung 830 is the way to go.
