I presently have a old PC upstairs with a netgear router which I use as a base for my wireless connection.

I use a Sony Vaio laptop downstair wirelessly to go on the internet.

If I replace my old PC with a IMac,will that be problematic for me?

Can a Mac and a PC laptop communicate wirelessly thru a router?

TIA

Just remember that if you're using encryption to put a # in front of your password when typing it on the mac. I had this problem, and wondered why i couldn't connect to my 3com router. Turns out that with the mac the # (or at least I think its a # iirc) tells the mac that its a manual password, and not an auto generated one or something

Like every one else has said, it will work. I'm running my P4 3.2ghz gaming system, and my G4 PowerBook off the same SMC Wireless router without any problems, and I can connect my PB to my PC and vice-versa without any problems.
