Hello all.

I have a question regarding how to clone a time machine backup from a network drive.

All the solutions I've come across have involved using disk utility, however my WD MybookLive is not in the list. It comes up as a destination drive for Time Machine to use, but it's not listed in Disk Utility.

The drive is faulty, and WD will send me a new drive before I send in the old one. So I have to figure out a way to clone the contents of the drive to a new drive.

Do I need to mount the image for use in Disk Utility? Can I use another app like CCC or something of the like? I really don't know how to copy this drive without it showing up in disk utlity, and so that the new drive will serve as an identical time machine back up.

Any insight/help would be appreciated.
