somebody knows something about this one??if it need internet conection or if it is working like a real gps?

The iPhone needs a plan like 3G for the Maps app to function correctly.

Stand alone GPS's acquire satellites directly and the licence is rolled up into the cost.

The app you are looking at seems to offer a hybrid set-up where you can download the maps of your choice using their 'open source' library.

I just can't see a 2 dollar app circumventing the need for a plan because the iPhone doesn't have a dedicated GPS chipset, it uses assisted GPS to acquire satellite info from a base station.
