MBP 15" late 2011 / iP 6s / iPP 9.7"
Hi All,

I'm new to MF (just a reader previously) and on my second MBP.
My first was a late 2007 model 3.1 from memory.

Anyway, the new one is a MBP late 2011 Hi-spec with upgrades
Processor up to 2.5 GHz (i7) / Memory up to 8 GB / plus Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen.

It's a lil' beaut'.

However, I did not receive back-up/install OS Lion discs.....? My old one was preloaded - as this one is - but still had the install discs.

Is this the way now - no install discs?

Congrats and welcome!

Yep, no discs are needed with Internet Recovery and the Mac App Store. New Macs no longer ship with system discs.
