Email body copy reverts to another font

Hi Guys,

This maybe a dumb question....but it is driving me crazy!
I am using Apple Mail. Have set my preferences up and use a specific font and size when I write an email.
Invariably, when I get a reply & see my original email in the string the font has reverted to a larger size and a different font. i have asked the recipients and they tell me that is how it arrived so it isn't only reverting int he reply.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not sure if it makes you feel better, but you're not alone. I routinely find that emails that I design appear strangely when Outlook on Windows quotes them and responds. I think it's due to using Word as a rendering and design engine.
