Help viewing from a disc please

Looking for Apple iMac help, please. On Friday I inserted a disc that contains 32 photos. It appeared as an icon on my desktop and I opened the disc. Each photo appeared on the left hand side of the screen and to the right of the image was a vertical display of all the photos on the disc. As you ran the cursor down these smaller photos each one would appear as the large one. After my session I ejected the disc. Try as I might though I just cannot get this view back. I have tried opening Preview but it seems to have no effect. Please can anyone advise – in simple terms! Many thanks

If I understand you properly, you want to view files in columns. In Finder, either push Command-3 or go to View > as Columns.
