• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.

Hi....

Has anyone figured out yet how we are able to export home movies from Final Cut Pro to use on the new iPod. I did try it by recompressing it to a Quicktime file and re adjusting the size to fit the iPod screen, but it wanted about 13 hours for this to export. This was only a section of the film that i wanted to export, the whole film only took about 2 hours to export first time round for dvd, so i cant understand what i'm doing wrong.

Can anybody help me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Oliver

It will take longer to export for iPod because it has to do a lot more compressing and has to resize it for the iPod.
