If I upgrade from 10.2.8 to 10.5.8 will I be able to update stuff?

1. Office 2008 as the newer 2011 is for Intel machines.
2. Safari will be installed using operating system install and by using Software Update will go to version 4.0.5.
3. Firefox 4 but be aware Firefox has stopped support for Leopard. No doubt this trend will continue as the now +four year old operating system ages further.

You did post earlier and remember about getting the black full retail install DVD. No silver grey discs as they will not install.
