Outlook 2011 won't open

I recently had my hard drive replaced, and OS upgraded to Lion 10.7.2. Outlook 2011 worked fine for a few days. Yesterday I has deleting 15000 old e-mails, and it stopped working, and now won't open. I get a Microsoft database daemon error message about needing to close. after that Outlook tries to open and just sits there.

Can you suggest a next step?

I approach motorcycle mechanics this way, and have found tutorials on the web for everything I have ever tried.

This is the first time I have tried it for computers, and it worked.
