I don't see an option on either site to download a newer version and both require Intel and/or Lion for the current download.

Where can I get one compatible with my version of OS X?

Chrome has always required an Intel Mac so if you're using a PPC Mac, you're out of luck.

Firefox 8 will work with 10.5 but requires an Intel processor. What Mac are you using?

I just got it yesterday and when I go to Youtube it says I am using too old a browser. I attempted to download Firefox and Chrome but both failed to mount, that is when I saw I had too old a version of OS X.

Can I get a newer browser for OS X 10.2.8 with my setup?

Oh, you're using 10.2.8, not 10.5.8.

With a PPC Mac running 10.2.x, you're very limited in what you can run. You can run Firefox 2 (2.0.0.20 available here) and you won't be able to run Chrome.

You really need at least tiger and perferably Leopard on your Mac. The browsers for 10.2 are way too old and you will get that message over and over till you upgrade the OS.

There is a Firefox spin off called TenFourFox that is just like the newest Firefox but runs on a Power PC CPU like you have. It's not going to work on 10.2 though.

Like others have said there is no Chrome you can ever use with a Power PC Mac. TenFourFox and Safari will have to do and will work just fine if you upgrade your OS.
