Hi

I am using 10.6.8 on an iMac. I would like to be able to exclude some applications from Software Update.

Is this possible? I know you can manually Uncheck the box next to the application once S/U has found new updates.

Some apps' like Logic for instance dont seem to have a 'never update' facility within their own contextual menu's or preferences and I have been known to run S/U without checking what's on the list and subsequently updated apps' that I did not wish to.

Thanks
K

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Applications generally, other than Safari, iPhoto etc that are part of the OS X, do not update using Software Update. That updates your operating system only. You do have the option of de-selecting the applications if you choose, or even going into the Menu Bar and selecting 'Ignore Updates'.

I do this for iTunes.
