Here is a how-to from Apple. To remove existing card follow steps 3 and 4 in reverse. The antenna cable is pretty delicate so do not use force.

Both Tiger and Panther are pretty old operating systems, however Tiger is much faster and if you upgrade you will need another version of Safari. Also try Firefox when you get Tiger installed. Remember your Tiger DVD needs to be the full retail instal disc, black coloured, and NOT a silver/grey model specific disc. Also in the iMac, 256MB on memory will never do. 1GB for Tiger. And remember you are working with eight to nine year old computers so do not expect too much.

hi there

wireless internet now working fine through apple homepage but cant access internet via safari- keep getting prompted to submit bug report to apple:
ex c_bad_access (0x0001)
kern_protection_failure ( 0x0002) at 0 x 00000001

it seems a prpblem with safari .....the thing is we cna access via apple page but it's a nuisance not being able to access via safari and every time we load up safari and do a google search safari crashes - is there a simple way to resolve?

if we instal tiger would that resolve the crashing safari?

ps - the tiger disk is the black one/full retail version, but we dont have 1 GB memory anyway to attempt it
* Safari shows as version 1.3.2 in error report
