I am trying to import a classical CD with 27 song tracks.

However, iTunes writes three "CD"s, one with 12, another with 9 and the third with 6 tracks. The splits are not in order but there are random tracks to each. This is a problem, because sometimes I want to burn CDs from iTunes.

Another problem is that I cannot listen to the tracks in the right order.

Help please!

Looks like your going to have to put everything in manually which is going to be a pain for 27 tracks.

First select all 27 tracks and right click and select "get info"

under the info tab give all 27 songs the same "album" name and were it says "Disc number" type "1 of 1".

Here comes the time consuming part, now all the tracks are listed as 1 CD but the order of the songs is still going to be wrong so you will have to find the first track and go back into "get info" and were it says "Track Number" type "1 of 27". Rinse and repeat for all 27 tracks.

Im sorry but this is the only way I can think of fixing you problem.

Thanks MGSFan18,

That is a good, if tedious, way out, which I will apply now.

The trouble is that it also happens for other CDs. I would love to find a way of stopping it in the first place.

Glad I could help but its unfortunate that it happens with other CDs as well.

I'd suggest it's to do with the 'Album Artist' data.

Select all 27 tracks, bring up Get Info and change the Album Artist to various (or similar).

Hit OK and the album should be re-united as one

Thanks mrplow,

That works, and is simple.
