I lost my url bar , it was my error but I see that Mac's are very unforgiving, no undo no simple reset. The problem is in Safari my Firefox url bar is present.

I noticed someone said "just go to system preferences" with nary a mention of where or how to reset what I assumed was a default.

Can some one offer a slightly more detailed response?

Thanks

Don't have a clue what that means.

Am "assuming" that you're missing the address bar from the toolbar in Safari?

If that's the case, then right click on the top bar in Safari and then select 'Customize Toolbar' from the popup. Drag the address bar back up to the toolbar wherever you want it.

I see that Mac's are very unforgiving,

I'll have to disagree with that. Lack of familiarity does not equate to that.

Rather, it's a matter of "I did this. How do I fix it?" There's usually a simple way out.
