Still Learning

I have a G4 867mhz power PC G4, 2mb l3 cache, 1,5 gb ram, osX 10.3.9. I was given a copy of Tiger both CD's.
1. will tiger work on this mac
2. if 1 is yes do I do an upgrade or a clean install
3. do I need both Cd's
4. should I even consider moving to tiger

I know what to do with a PC I am a Tech but i am lost with a mac I am trying to learn.

Tiger will run great and would recommend you do it asap.

Pop in the first disc and choose the option to install it, it will then reboot the computer to bein the install process, choose the Archive and Install option.

This saves the current install you have incase you need to restore it.

You may need both discs as you might need XCode etc but dont worry if you dont
