I've had this Macbook Pro for couple of years now and I have been very careful with this unit. No scratches on the screen nor the outer. I experience slight electrocution, heating of the keyboard area, and recently the damage on the above image. When it's open (above image), you can't see the opening/gap in the screen. But when close, you see the interior of the screen (images below).

It breaks my heart to see this opening/gap as I've been very gentle and careful through these years. Please advise how to correct or fix this. Thank you.
