Convert Tif file to a Jpeg file

I need to send screenshots to an Adobe Lr Forum as Jpeg attachments. Mac's Grab outputs screen shots as Tif files. How can I convert a Tif file to a Jpeg file?

I've never understood why Grab saves screenshots as TIFFs but the keyboard shortcuts produce PNGs.

You should be able to open it up in Preview and save it as a different format there. For the future, you can use Command-Shift-3 to take a screenshot and you can change the format that the shortcut produces by following the instructions here.
