I just bought a new Imac and have a macbook pro I want to add anti virus software too. Any recommendations on what to use, Best Buy gave me some software I believe called Trend Anti Virus, I did not install it, wanted to check the forums out first. Thanks for any help!

None. Simple as, you don't need it full stop. Save yourself some money.

You only need it if you run Windows on your Mac and MSE will work great for the Windows side nothing needed for the Mac side.

As others suggest there are no Mac OS X viruses. If you are paranoid coming from the Windows background, try ClamXAV which is freeware. Also for Bootcamp etc Microsoft Security Essentials.

What you're seeing is going to be the general consensus of about 95% of our members I think - maybe more.

Don't just enter your master password when something asks unless you know what it is and, at this point in time, you're pretty safe.

Stay away from illegal software, downloading video codecs because a porn site said you needed it, and don't fall for that popup window fake scan of your system you may run into on some websites saying "You've got viruses - you need to buy our software" - I know you've seen these before - and you're pretty much good to go.

Lion already has it's own malware detection built in.
