trouble burning/view DVD

I am trying to burn a slide show I created on Iphoto using IDVD. It goes through the whole process and says "disc created do you want to create another" But when I go to play it, the player spits it out. My husband tried to play them on his PC laptop to no avail. I am using Sony DVD-R discs.

Does the dvd play on your Mac? If yes, then it's a successful burn and an issue with the PC and dvd player.
