I have a macbook running OS X 10.4.11 with a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and I want to upgrade to a more recent operating system. Can I do it by installing snow leopard then going to Lion or do I have to go through all the previous upgrades one by one?

Many thanks:

You can install a retail copy of Snow leopard on that Intel Macbook without installing 10.5 Leopard first

You may also purchase the Lion USB drive from Apple and upgrade directly to Lion if you so choose. See the system requirements here (for Lion and Snow Leopard).
