I have a 2010 Mac Book Pro, the optical drive broke. I installed a program to access my HP home server and the program says i need to insert the OSX DVD to install Rosetta. I made a copy of the DVD on my PC to a flash drive. When I click the setup.exe file I get a message that the program cannot be run in DOS mode. Why does this disk have exe files on it if a MAC cant run them? Can I download rosetta? Please help.

The OS X DVD has a setup.exe file on it that will install Windows drivers from within Windows when Boot Camp has been used to install Windows on your Mac. It can not be used for anything else.

Rosetta will be installed automatically from the install DVD when you're asked to insert it. However, since you copied the DVD to a flash drive I don't know if that will work. Also, you didn't mention which version of OS X it was.
