External Hardrive Question, Quickie

I have an external hardrive that is formattted in the Windows NT filesystem acordinf to Finder and it only allows me to read, and It wont allow me to change any permissions, how do I use it on my mac, I dont care if I lose all the data on it...Program, or can OSX do it for me?

If you mean format it, then you need to use Disk Utility.

Either Command + Shift + U in Finder or go to Mac HD > Applications > Utilities.

Double Click Disk utility and then you select the external HD in the list on the left pane and then format tab.

Simple :flower: This will of course wipe your data.

Mac OS X can thankfully read NTFS drives but due to security, cannot write to NTFS - this is quite standard.
