Can anyone tell me how to install Microsoft Operating System onto my Apple Imac?

I need to do this to run some MOS based programmes. I want to be able to run these programmes at the same time as running Mac based programmes.

Thanks

Have you looked in the "Running Windows (or anything else) on your Mac" section of Mac-Forums?

Lots & lots of info there...including:

At the same time? Parallel may well be the go as Bootcamp requires booting from Windows partition, shutting down and restarting Mac OS X.

The latest version, Parallel 7 is $89.95 and there is no free version that will let you run both programs at the same time. You will need to install Windows 7, or maybe XP deepening on your Mac, and it will require activation with Microsoft.

Thanks. Great help. Will probably get VMWare Fusion as it appears that you can run MOS and MAC applications simultaneously.

Mac is a nickname for Macintosh. It's not an acronym, so there's no need to capitalise it (in fact, that just causes confusion with the genuine acronym for Media Access Control).

You might be able to use the free VirtualBox from Oracle. Since it's free, take a look at it or try it out. It may suit your needs. Here is the download LINK.
