Thinking of buying my first Mac

I am new to Mac. I am looking for some cheap for the time being. I seen this on Amazon for just over $400. So I was debating getting it.

My main use would be for Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. And of course browsing the net.

Would that be a good starter macbook?

I have one exactly like that and yes, it's a good little machine. Of course it depends on what condition it's in. As to the price of those machines, they vary. One that's in excellent condition can sell for as much as $600 while others that are "used" will usually sell for less.
