Increasing RAM

I have a Mac Book Pro 06-07 one gig RAM. Want to Put in 4 gig. I have done it in other lap tops but not this one. Any advise? it's simple right?

Yes...here's some advice:

1. When you post a message like you did...it REALLY helps if you provide your computers specs. This helps identify EXACTLY what model MacBook Pro you have?

2. You may have installed 4 gig of ram in other laptops...but this doesn't mean that your "06-07" MacBook Pro can be upgraded to 4gig as well. In fact (depending on the exact model)...your MacBook Pro will only be upgradeable to either 2gig or 3gig of ram.

3. In your post you said "Any advise?". The word you should be using is "advice". There is a difference between the word "advise" and "advice". In this particular case..."Any advise?"...is grammatically incorrect. "Any advice" is proper grammar & sentence structure.:)

p.s. I see folks using the two words "advise" and "advice" improperly many many times (in many places, not just Mac-Forums)...so it's getting to be a "pet-peeve" of mine.;)
