I am in desperate need of some technical assistance!

I changed my username and changed the administrative password...then began the process of changing my shortname. When I logged out and logged in as the root user and changed the shortname and logged back in, all my thousands of pictures were GONE from iPhoto!!!!! I found them all (I think) under Finder-Apps-Users and my account, but can't get them back into iPhoto....it keeps saying there's too much for my hard drive and stops the process. I had them all separated by months and videos vs photos (like I said seriously thousands). What should I do?! Is there anyway to get it back to the way I started?

If I can get them back to the old shortname even I'll live with it just to have my photos back the way they were!!

Please help and thanks in advance!

What you need to do is find the iPhoto Library and then double click on it to open iPhoto. Probably no need to reimport.

Well I kinda tried that but when I do that it starts to reimport them but stops about 1000 pics in and says not enough room on the hard drive. Is there any way I can just go back to my old shortname?
