Renew dhcp lease help

Yesterday i turned on my imac and went online my home page loaded fine but i couldnt load up certain websites like ebay so i tried other site and some worked and some didnt . i looked around to try and figure out the problem nothing helped . i found that when i click the renew dhcp lease the websites that wouldnt load would work for a few minutes and then say safari cant find server . im not using wireless internet i have a motorola cable modem.

Have you re booted the Motorola ?

yea rebooted it still nothing . when i click on renew dhcp lease the websites will work for maybe a minute or two

It sounds more like a DNS problem. Try setting your DNS entries to either OpenDNS or Google Public DNS and see if that resolves it.

OpenDNS = 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

Public DNS = 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

It was the DNS i put the openDNS code you posted and it worked thank you very much
