Yeah, I didn't even have to leave Texas to get the shot from the interior of that rock house.

I cant take the credit for this image, but i have a friend that did a series of Barbie and Ken and i think she has done a awesome job. Just thought i would share as I like it

I don't have the really nice gear yet, but when I try hard I can get some really nice pics out of this old Canon S3 (given its limitations obviously) -- this one's been resized to 800x600@72dpi and watermarked for here, of course. I shot it in LA about a year ago at a place called Johnnie's, and I call it "Cash Only":

LOL! After all these years, I think my wife has given up on me when it comes to buying new "toys". One thing that helps is my son is also a "toy" collector and sends his opinions to back me up. "The boys have to have their toys".

Nice one Chas. I loved my S3IS. In fact, I just gave it away to a mate of mine in the U.K. since he was looking for a nice "point and shoot". He's getting married and figured what the heck, it was just collecting dust anyway. I've taken some of my best shots with that camera.

Having just come back to the forum I thought this thread had died. Glad it hasn't.
Great shot AWS. Can I ask where that was taken? My wife and I have just been on a photography day at a local zoo.

Hi, it was taken at south lakes wild animal park (which i occasionally do some work for)

Thats a great tiger photograph (i don't "shoot" animals .... only people ) however if you're up for a bit of cc then my only qualm would be increase the dof (up the aperture) this side of the face is sharp but by the time you get to the nose you are starting to lose focus.... Other than that a beautiful photo.

Thanks for the reply and the CC, much appreciated. It was a tricky day for shooting, really very dull and I was having to shoot at 5.6 and high ISO (3200 on this shot) to cope. Thankfully the new (first time out actually)Pentax camera I was using seems to do exceptionally well at high ISO. I will make note of what you said though.
South Lakes is one of the places on our checklist to visit. More so now

Sunrise

This is the sunrise just outside my house. I caught this right before I left for work one morning. There is a little touchup in Light Room, but nothing major, just few tweaks ;D
