IF I could only run my photo/video software on Linux.. My headaches would magically go away..

I'm actually enjoying my Mac experience more and more, after years on Linux :))

Must be the age thing - recompiling packages and fixing stuff, no longer holds quite the same magic, it did fifteen-ten-five years ago ... ;P

Still love Linux and run a couple (or more) distros at any given time, in vm form, but it's just play ...

There are a couple of features I would love to have in OS X - the cube being one, and the variable transparency dock - another, particularly in view of Yosemite forthcoming 2D dock :\ I'll certainly try to either get the top transparency to 100%, or to remove the flat slab completely ...

I been around quite a while myself. I do agree the who recompiling packages can get old. I just miss having complete and utter control over the way my system looks and runs.
This whole new look of OSX is actually really stressing me out. I hate IOS 7 so bad it isn't even funny. Just say even though the features are compelling in 10.10. I am not upgrading.

well haven't put a new pic in a while, this is how I have my desktop right now =) I took this pic when I was in Toulouse, France. Have a Yosemite Theme for the windows and stuff using an app called flavours, used candybar to change the icons to look like Yosemite and finally mirage to make the dock transparent, love the effect and how everything looks right now.

Thanks! The image, by the way, is looking down on Zürich, Switzerland.

My 27" iMac, Yosemite 10.10.3 (specs under my avatar). Continuing with my clean, clutter-free desktop.

While I've learned to really like the Yosemite flat look, I just needed to get back to the 3D dock. cDock is working well for me.

Ha-ha ... as promised, I've finally changed the desktop picture, after 11 years:

Just upgraded the MBP17 to Sierra, and decided to keep the stock pic.
Nothing much customized, apart from the cheap-looking plastic trash can is now gone ;)

Your image is too big. Only images up to 1500x1500 are supported. So upload a smaller version here or upload the file to another image sharing website and then paste the link here..

1500 didn't work so I have to use 1100, that works
