new quicktime(no sound)

well the title explains it, since I downloaded the update for quicktime and itunes my sound stopped wroking on movies played in quicktime both in the player and on webpages, I also find it has to buffer alot more.

any fixes or places I can downlaod the older quicktime

oh
imac g5 rev b 1.8 and 1 gig of ram
no external speakers
vlc media player plays sound ut not quicktime

Try launching Garageband.

Relaunching GarageBand resets some CoreAudio settings. :eek: Sorry, if that sounded like a really silly and random response, but it worked for me, when I had the problem.

i think it worked thanks, it really seemed rather silly
while it was loading there was a little blip and my speakers kidna poppedm and now it works
