Plastic Case On Magsaf Adapter

This may be a dumb question, but I am trying to set up my new Macbook Pro and the Magsaf Adapter that they say has a magnetic pull where you put in the port has a plastic protective cover I can't get off, is there a way to remove this? Want to make sure I don't damage anything

If you're talking about the clear plastic cover...just pull it off.
