yesterday I did a one-to-one to have skype installed, it seemed fine. Today when I opened skype my camera wouldn't work. Why? What should I do? Thanks.

I'm guessing that it does work but it's just not turned on. Click the camera icon in the top right hand corner of the chat window to turn it on. This has caught me off guard a few times. ;)

Do you have another app opened that uses the camera like iChat,FaceTime or Photo Booth.

i have come across this problem before. I, rightly or wrongly deduced that when the internet speed was too low, Skype would automatically disengage the camera and default to voice only. So check the speed first.

Also try and close the application, and reboot. i have done this before also and it worked but still don't know the root cause.

good luck

Seems like a good explanation to the OP's situation to me. Something like that could be at play when my video is out of sync with the audio. That is, I hear the words before the lips move.

Hi,

Also to the OP remember that when you place a call you have to click Video call not just call as screen shot.
