Hello! I have a macbook pro I purchased in 2006 and decided to wipe it clean and re-install everything. It went through disk 1 perfectly, then it re-started itself and asked for disk 2 to be inserted. When I insert it, it spins for a while, then spits back out with no message.

What could the problem be? Should I just take it in to the Apple store or is there something I can do myself to resolve this?

Thank you for any help!!

G'day and welcome to the forums.

First thoughts are a dirty disc or a dirty optical drive. Try giving them a clean with a damp soft cloth for first, and blast canned air for the drive. Usually disc one is sufficient to get a system installed.
