I have a 2007 Macbook Pro running 10.6.8. Recently, it has started taking 5-10 minutes to fully boot. It does okay through the grey screen with the apple logo, then shows my desktop background and the pinwheel for about 5-10 minutes, goes black, then pops back up with the menu bar. I've pasted the console messages from the last boot. Please assist if possible - thanks!

For starters go into System Preferences > Startup Disk and make sure Snow Leopard is highlighted. Then go through the various login accounts and see if anything has installed itself there. Some programs do that.

Again start in System Preferences > System >Users & Groups > Login Items.

Thanks - my HD is the startup disk and there are no login items listed.

Where should I look next?
