iMac Camera Issue

The camera on my iMac went out.
The green light comes on, but there is no picture.

A friend (Mac employee) once suggested I log out and establish a new user account, which I did, and the camera came back! He said he didn't know why, but it just happened that way.

Now it is out again, and the new user trick did not work.

Anyone have any suggestions?
